What we did: As part of Applecart Arts fantastic arts programme InCourage a Lens Change filmmaker worked closely with one of the visiting speakers to capture their story. Manwar’s personal experiences of a former extremist position him perfectly to be a voice of reason to those who are attracted to similar ideologies to those that he once was. Having filmed his seminar at Applecart’s Upton Park arts venue we caught up with Manwar near Wembley Mosque where there was a bit more time to explore his story in detail.
